King Engine Bearings is one of the top brands when it comes to bearings, and they also have real quality products to keep you ahead of your opponent in the performance world. This product line is known as King Racing.
An extensive product range and more than 60 years of experience in the research and production of King Engine Bearings. Besides the quality products for various standard applications, King Racing bearings for the performance also leave nothing to be desired when it comes to engine performance. This is also what one of the brand's customers says in the video below.
King Racing has a lot of knowledge when it comes to the performance industry, and uses this experience to produce bearings and to enhance the quality in terms of strength, performance and life. The Swedish car brand Koenigsegg also uses King Racing for their engines.
The King Racing range consists of five different series of bearings, each with its own characteristics and suitable for different applications. We would like to discuss these different series with you in this blog!
The pMacBlack™ is a unique tri-metal structure with copper-lead and a hardened coating. The advantages of this series are its greater load capacity, stronger cover and its applicability to all types of crankshafts.
This series also uses different racing techniques researched by King Racing. These include the U-Groove™ design which provides a 90 degree groove shape that increases the bearing's load capacity. This line is suitable for various performance applications such as drag racing and other applications that use steel crankshafts.
The Alecular™ series has a layer of aluminium, tin silicone combined with a strong steel backing bi-metal structure. The advantages of these series are the higher melting temperature limit compared to tri-metal and good embedding and compatibility.
A major advantage of this bearing is its ability to withstand high loading capacities in a short period of time. This makes it suitable for specific performance applications such as drag racing, monster trucks, tractor pulling and applications that use ductile iron crankshafts.
This new form of coating protects the bearing in metal-to-metal contact and erosive effects of cavitation. An advantage of this technique is that the layer does not add any thickness, and has other positive effects such as high resistance, good wear resistance and protection against oil shortage.
The speciality is the added layer that acts as a solid lubricant and provides improved wear resistance without changing the wall thickness dimension. These bearings are also suitable for various applications such as drag racing, off-shore and applications that use steel crankshafts.
Top Fuel bearings are designed for engines where there is continuous metal-to-metal contact such as in the extreme conditions of drag racing. Minimal friction, even in these conditions, is essential for the long service life of any engine bearing.
The TFC series also has several advantages: increased load capacity, greater resistance to fatigue, and can be combined with all crankshafts. This line is distinguished by the ductile bronze, extra-thick Babbitt and K-40 polymer. Suitable for various specific applications such as Funny Cars and Pro Mod.
The GPC series combines a unique tri-metal structure with advanced surface processes designed to withstand extreme stress. An advantage of the GPC series is that it has a high PSI compared to other available racing materials. The bearings are also designed to protect the engine in the event of oil shortage or metal-to-metal contact, and they have a 'True Standard' declaration that is almost unattainable anywhere.
The GPC series is mainly distinguished by its lead-free copper, silver top layer and polymer coating. Very suitable as a type of bearing for diesel performance and sprint cars.
After reading this blog you may still be wondering which of these bearing series best suits your application, engine and/or requirements. Our specialists will be happy to talk to you personally by e-mail or telephone to help you make the best choice for your performance vehicle.
